The exhibition by Pravdoliub Ivanov refers to his two individual shows organized nearly twenty years ago titled At the Level of the Eyes (1998) and Neglectable Incidents (1999). Come back to the older artist’s projects will be confronted with the newest works created on the basis of new and older unrealized concepts. The exhibition resulting in few works created on site includes wall pieces with use of text, photographs, objects and video.

Rooted in everyday reality, Pravdoliub Ivanov’s works contain references to the social body, memories and dreams. They identify and generate paradoxical but sophisticated relations between art and life. Ivanov uses ready-made objects and seeks their hidden, frequently ambivalent meanings. Stemming from the rich tradition of Conceptual art, his interests lie in working with language and text, image and perception, and the uncovered creative process. Ivanov is an internationally acclaimed Bulgarian artist. The exhibition Neglectable Incidents at the Level of the Eyes presented at the Warsaw Gallery Weekend is his third solo show at Gallery Le Guern.
